Fiction writer Richard Price read from his work as part of the 2008/2009 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series on Monday, March 9, at the Alley Theatre.
Richard Price is the author of seven novels, including most notably Clockers, Freedomland, and Samaritan. He received an Oscar nomination for his screenplay for The Color of Money, and his other major screenplays include Life Lessons, Sea of Love, Mad Dog and Glory, Ransom, and Shaft. Price also received acclaim as writer for the popular HBO series The Wire. He came to Houston to read from and talk about his novel Lush Life.
